Connecting the elite world of sports and tech. Weekly sports and tech market intelligence report

Dear friends,

You might be asking: What’s the latest with SportsCouncil SV?

Over the past 12 months we’ve been busy behind the scenes helping our startups in terms of fundraising and business development.

But, we also have some new developments to share. For starters, we’re officially changing the name of our company to Sports Tech Advisors. Our new website will be going live on Monday.

We’re also excited to announce the launch of a new weekly newsletter that will also go live on Monday. It’s called The Upside and will be a market intelligence newsletter that will explore the world of business, sports, and technology. Our goal is to constantly survey the intersection of sports, business and tech and deliver all the insights and analysis directly to your inbox. We hope these insights and analyses help bring meaning and impact to your work.

We keyed into The Upside because it has an interesting dual-meaning: The ability to harness untapped abilities is a hallmark for both athletes and technology startups combined. Sports clubs are constantly on the lookout for the next big, promising athlete and investors are always looking for the next startup that will blow up. The Upside represents both of these tantalizing potentials, from sports to technology.

The Upside will feature two versions: One will be free (a weekly curated list of sports and tech news stories) and another will be a premium version.

The premium version (starting at $49.99 per person per month) will include exclusive, deep analyses, data, reports, and survey data on sports tech trends. We’ll also include access to podcast interviews of world class sports and tech executives representing a variety of the world’s biggest professional leagues including the MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, Premier League, and LaLiga. Those aren’t the only sports we’ll be tracking. We also have our eyes on European soccer, professional tennis, rugby, swimming and even cricket.

Already, we have a great pipeline of podcast interviews and analyses for you. Each week we’ll cover timely topics with great insights that have direct parallels to sports organizations, large tech companies, startups, and investors on how market dynamics, emerging technologies and events will impact their business and bottom line.

With that being said, next week we will publish our first podcast interview with Adam Cheyer the founder of Siri (sold to Apple) and Viv Labs (sold to Samsung), and known as a world’s pioneer in the world of AI. Adam gave us his insights on what it was like to build Siri, work with Steve Jobs, and more importantly what kind of AI sports experiences that we are likely to see in the coming years. Some of these experiences we leverage the power of AR, VR, and more.

If you have any questions, want to become a premium member to get access to the exclusive content (e.g. podcast interviews, analyses, etc), click on the “subscribe now” button, or if you just want to chat with us, please email us at info@sportstechadvisors.co
